The Gold Coast Breakers is the representative side of the seven senior Clubs that play here on the Gold Coast during the winter months. The Breakers have both Senior and U-19 Colts teams and they compete in the Queensland Premier competition, mainly against Brisbane-based club sides. In addition, Junior Breakers (Under 9 - 14) have a very proud record representing the Gold Coast at the annual State championships each year.

 

In their fourteen years history the Breakers have played in five Premiership Grand Finals, winning the title in 2004. The Breakers have produced many quality players who have gone  on to represent at the highest level including current Wallabies James Slipper, Ben Daley and Ben Tapuai and former Wallabies Tai McIsaac and Lloyd Johansson.
